Points of Interest
There's so much more to Ptown than Commercial Street. The geography of the Cape is so beautiful, take advantage of the gorgeous weather and explore.
The Beech Forest
Race Point Road
Cross over Route 6 and the next left past the Dump entrance is parking for the Beech Forest. Take a leisurly stroll around the pond and experience this beautiful, scenic trail.
The Bike Trails
Race Point Road
Same parking lot as the Beech Forest. You can pick up the bike trails here that take you throughout the dunes. Challenging hills and stunning views of the ocean make your bike rental worth it.
The Breakwater
Commercial Street, east of the Provincetown Inn
This collection of granite blocks helps keep the sand from escaping the marshes and tial pools of Herring Cove beach. The walk is farther than it looks, so wear comfortable shoes and pack a picnic lunch -- enjoy the quiet beaches of Long Point for the afternoon. For those not so physically inclined, take a water shuttle from Flyers (behind Lorraine's restaurant) over to Long Point.
